Follow Up to What if...?

So in speaking with a few supporters of Prop 8, I have been informed that the YES vote was to follow the Bible and the Lord's rules.

Was that the reason given during the campaign? I didn't hear it. You want to know why we didn't hear it?

BECAUSE THEN IT WOULDN'T HAVE PASSED.

If Christians went around saying that gays couldn't get married because the Bible said so, how many people do you think would follow it?

Instead they used scare tactics, the biggest one being the children. Anytime you mention children and "danger" of something happening, people are going to listen.

As a Christian myself, I find this behavior to be appalling, misleading, and downright deceitful. How on earth are we to show people that we love, honor, cherish, and do not JUDGE per the Lord's request if we cannot campaign with honesty and integrity.

Your opinions?
